The Ethnographer's Toolkit book series is designed for the novice in the field, offering guidance for doing ethnographic research in simple, reader-friendly language. The books in this series are all available to borrow and are located in the Stacks (2nd floor of the library). See each book for their Call Number.
You can find ethnographies in the St. Mary's Library collection by searching for "ethnography" or "ethnology," but keep in mind there might be ethnographies published that don't use either word. You can also try searching for "social life and customs" in addition to a particular culture or group of people. If you need help finding an ethnography, email Veronica Arellano Douglas, Anthropology Librarian.
